Its been a while and alot has happened. Firstly our current line-up is:
Active:
Biggie - Voted best player in UK by Arky
Noodle - Voted best player in UK by Noodle
Spoonman
Sure
Arky - Voted worst player in UK by The rest of the team
Subs:
Dudey (Loves playing with Danes too much
)
Rass (inactive due to Real life and wow but plays a few times a week)
Both our Danes are sick and if you play us when they are playing be warned they both cheat heavily!
My team has also been competing in EDCSSL division 3. Last season we should have been in division 1 but gave our spot to Rasta. as we where semi-inactive. By chance a team dropped out of division 3 and we took the spot. We kinda failed and only took 3rd by the end of the season due to us playing with mix teams each week with little or no practise. This time round, although the practise has been minimal, we have had more stable line-ups going into the games and have played much more as a team. We won all our games except the last vs SA which we drew in an epic come-back. The season all rested on MODx beating or drawing with SA. They beat them 20-10 which means we take Gold and will be in division 2 next Season, ever closer to being back in division 1.
The thermaltake cup showed us that as a team we have the capability to do very well. We had only played 4 games with Sure and 2 with Spoonman before the first game vs Exotic. Rass filled in for Spoonman as he was working. We beat the 6th seed for the cup 16-9. Noting that they have 4 players from the Portuguese national side we felt a huge sense of achievement beating them and cruised our next game vs T with a very convincing 16-1.
Next week however saw us take on TLR. Baring in mind we only trained for this game the day before for a few hours and still a very new line-up losing 16-14 was painful at the time. The lower bracket game didn't go our way as we felt the strain from narrowly missing out on beating pez
We lost to icenet quite badly but feel no shame in blaming that loss on how we felt from losing to TLR after coming so close. Looking back i think we all appreciate that we should have not let the TLR game get to us so much and we should have rolled our lower bracket game. I think we did very well and showed alot of character against TLR and exotic.
Im really looking forward to see this team progress. I think we have the right mix of players and personalities now to do well and make our mark on the css scene. Its taken me over a year to make this team have a solid line-up since the old Serp,dude,rass,dirtymagic days. But now finally I think we are ready to start putting in some work and beating sick teams.
