Just a quick update with regards to the Thermaltake insomnia40 CounterStrike Source Online Qualifiers.

All demos from the first 2 rounds are now uploded and available at:

Just so you know guys the auto syncer for the demos for the servers now work. Some servers have already synced some demos, others haven't. The sync runs every night so if you don't see a section for your server yet then it should appear as soon as something has been synced.

Any issues let me know.

Its been a massive week for LAN gaming this week, with the Thermaltake online qualifiers for i40 and DS Rack LAN about to start, its getting very hectic in the gaming scene!

Personally i only know a few of these teams in attendance at DS Rack, some of you Danes may know these players better then me ;)but anyway without further a due, heres a run down of the Seeded teams in attendance:

Thermaltake Online Qualifer Final Announcement!

It's nearly here! Only a few hours remaining and the temperature is rising. Looking set to be one of the best tournaments this year, we are at the final hurdles. As always there have been a few hiccups along the way but we are looking set for a cracking tournament.

Here is what you need to know:

Signups are STILL open. They will remain open until 4:30pm. There are currently 6 remaining slots. These have become free due to some of the Invite teams being unable to attend last minute due to various reasons. Signups will remain open here:

As of last night, I'm sure most of you saw in the bottom right hand of your screen that Steam was downloading something, that little something was the CSS update! Ofc when we see this we get very excited to see what they've fixed and not fixed, so if you haven't already seen what it is that they have fixed - then here it is:

A list of the changed/fixes introduced in this update include:

Counter-Strike: Source
-Fixed a crash that could occur after the bomb exploded.
-Fixed a crash that could occur when attempting to exit the game.
-Changed default values of the following server variables to reflect the increase of the default tick rate from 33 to 66:
-sv_mincmdrate - 10
-sv_maxcmdrate - 66
-sv_maxupdaterate - 66
-Marked ‘developer’ cvar as cheat.
-Corrected kill/death reporting in gun games. Deaths were not being properly counted in games using instant respawn.
-Marked test_round_winpanel, test_match_winpanel, test_fre...

Team Dignitas have decided to release their CS:S team after 2 members left.

Earlier this year, Team Dignitas announced that they would be picking up a team to fill their EPS UK spot, and proceeded to sign Team AMDERS. This team was certainly not the same sort of level that their previous CS:S team had been up to, but dignitas were willing to give this lesser team a chance.

However it has been announced today that they have been released from the dignitas squad with immediate effect. This has come about due to two of the players of the team choosing to leave. Not wanting to rebuild the lineup, ODEE indicated on the Team Dignitas site that they would stop their contracts short.

With the success of the Tek9 short movie competition they have decided to run a second, this time opened to movies of all lengths, across all games.

The competition will pit aspiring movie makers against the seasoned veterans of the movie making world in a bid to see who is the best out there. With a brand new Sapphire HD 5550 graphics card for the best five movies, as well as €250 for first place there will be plenty of competition.
Schedule:

Signup Period: June 28th - July 12th
Producing Period: June 28th - August 23rd
Uploading Period: August 23rd - August 30th
Video checking: August 30th - September 3rd
Video release: September 3rd - September 17th
End of voting: September 17th Judges voting: 1 week

Winners announced 3 days after judging period over.
